Anita and Rob, motivated by their deep love for animals, embarked on a mission to make a positive impact in their communities.
They recognized a growing issue that families, across the UK, were facing financial hardship and struggling to feed their beloved pets.
With a strong determination to address this problem, Anita and Rob came up with the idea of creating a Facebook group called "Animal FoodBank UK."
Their goal was to connect willing volunteers with families in need, ensuring that no pet would go hungry or even be separated from their caring owners, and possibly end up in rescue, due to affordability.
As time went on, the group gained momentum and attracted volunteers from various backgrounds who shared a deep empathy for pets.
These individuals formed a strong and supportive community, dedicated to preserving the bond between pets and their families, regardless of the challenges they faced.
Through their Facebook group, Anita and Rob organised regular food drives, where volunteers tirelessly collected and distributed pet food donations to families in dire circumstances.
The "Animal FoodBank UK" Facebook group created a sense of belonging and support within the community, sparing families the heartbreak of parting ways with their beloved companions due to financial constraints.
News of Anita and Rob, and their dedicated volunteers' incredible work quickly spread, resulting in a significant growth of the Facebook group and people needing support. More and more individuals eagerly joined, eager to contribute their time, resources, and expertise to this worthy cause.
Today, as the "Animal FoodBank UK " Facebook group continues to thrive and leaves a lasting impact on the lives of both pets and their families, we have recently received CIO charity status. We will be sharing our journey along the way.
